A British/Dutch family based in Belgium needs a nanny for their curious and energetic 17-month-old toddler and baby due in December 2021.

Ideally, you will work five days either Tuesday - Sunday or Sunday - Thursday however the family will consider a Monday - Friday schedule if you are happy to work one weekend a month. When you travel with the family the schedule will change and working weekends will be required. If the family needs evening babysitting you will not be required to assist regularly but they would appreciate it if you could connect them with other nannies.

In general, this will be a sole charge role, you must be a self-starter. The Mum will be on maternity leave for approximately four months and both parents work from home at times and have flexible schedules. Therefore you must be adaptable and happy to work alongside the parents at times.
The house is located in a family-friendly neighbourhood with nearby nature reserves and many other nannies working locally. There are also local activities and classes which the Mum would like you to attend with the child.
Candidates need to be very attentive and have an engaging approach. You must be highly experienced (minimum of five years nannying experience), confident in getting the baby into a routine, weaning and guiding, and advising the parents when needed. Playing games, being creative, and planning and researching educational and sensory activities are part of your duties. A calm nanny who uses the positive discipline approach and is familiar and keen to incorporate Montessori style learning.
Cleaning and laundry will be done by the weekly cleaner. The nanny is responsible for all nursery duties and cooking for the children (the Mum enjoys cooking so may assist with the cooking).
You need to be a problem solver, be very discreet, and respect the family’s privacy.
