A busy family based near Regents Park, London, NW1 are looking for a House Manager to join their home. You must have a full driving license for this role, an automatic car can be provided for work use. This is a live-out role.
An international family of three are looking for a new House Manager to oversee their busy home. The family has a lovely three-year-old son. They have do not have pets. They live in a stunning family home in Regents Park, London. The home contains luxury high-end furnishings such as silver, crystal, fine art and antiques. The household consists of two nannies, three housekeepers, and gardeners, providing seven days a week staffing cover in the home.
You will be responsible for managing the daily upkeep of the home and overseeing the team of housekeepers, nannies, and gardeners who visit the property daily. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact between the principals and the staff. You should be reliable, discreet, proactive, and honest. You must be responsive to feedback and have a positive and flexible attitude.
You must be confident in managing the team of staff, providing performance reviews, authorising holiday requests, and managing the recruitment process. The successful candidate will oversee the daily running of the home, all contractors, tradespeople, and staff. The House Manager will be responsible for the upkeep of the fine furnishings, such as silverware, crystal, fine art, and antiques.
The House Manager will be responsible to overseeing weekly food orders, managing stock rotation, and keeping inventory of supplies. You should be happy to run some errands, do light shopping, and runs to the post office, and do similar tasks. A car can be provided if you do not own one. You should be happy to drive the family on occasion.
The successful candidate should be confident with diary management, overseeing the organisation of the family’s social engagements. The family travels regularly, you must be happy to assist with their travel preparations, from making travel arrangements, to packing and preparing their luggage.
You should be happy to oversee food preparation and table setting. You may be required to help organise events and serve food and drinks to guests when the family are hosting.
You should be organised and confident in managing the monthly expenses budget and small cash expenses. The family will require you to arrange restaurant reservations, liaise with vendors, and maintain good relations with suppliers and staff.
The successful candidate should have strong initiative and an eye for detail. You should be confident with all aspects of house management and be able to assist with the clean and care for the home to a high standard.
The family home is situated near Regents Park, London, NW1. This is a live out role, you must live in an easily commutable distance.
• Working 5/6 days a week, with flexibility. The family are open to discuss if the working week is 5 or 6 days as per the candidate's preference.
• Working 7:30am-7:30pm
You should speak a good level of English.
You should be an experienced and skilled house manager for this role. You should be self-motivated will excellent communication skills. You should be confident in IT & written communication skills, and iPad usage.
