We are looking for a junior rota nanny to work for a family with 3 children aged 4, 6 and 9. You don’t need to have done a rota previously, you just need to have good common sense, be silly and fun sometimes and good with picky eaters as they’re not keen on veggies. The parents don’t have impossible expectations of you, they’re happy for you to initiate play and then leave the children to it and just oversee them; it’s important that the children don’t get used to needing an adult with them at all times. Promoting independence and instilling good manners and good behaviours is very important for the family, they want the children to stay grounded, clean up after themselves, tidy up and generally grow up to have a sense of responsibility. The children are at school and in a great schedule, mum is involved and organises playdates etc so they don’t need someone to reinvent the wheel, just a smart, emotionally intelligent nanny who will ensure the children are safe at all times, have their breakfast, brush their teeth etc and also knows when to take a step back and give the family privacy.
Whilst this is rota position and you must be available anytime whilst on shift if needed (e.g when parents travel), your normal working hours during weekday school term will be 7am-9am then 2.30-7:30pm and babysitting as required. Weekends will usually be 9am-6pm (but subject to change as you may all be at their countryside home). You will therefore have plenty of time for yourself even when on rota!
Accommodation: Separate really nice flat with lovely balconies and views, a short walk away
Salary: Very competitive for a junior nanny – dependent on your experience
