These loving, entrepreneurial moms based in Chapel Hill, NC work hard to strike a balance between structure and flexibility in their home; they believe “organization is the key to freedom,” and, “dreams don’t come true, plans come true!” With busy schedules and many moving pieces between their business and home life, they are excited to find a nanny/family assistant who can be a true pillar of support. They describe their son as a lover of life, which shines through with his many interests and passions, from soccer and walks on the beach to crafting handmade mazes and working in the garden. He thrives outside of traditional school settings and developmental boxes, and his parents are navigating what they call “life school,” a mixture of homeschooling, travel, and organized programs to support his growth both academically and otherwise! When they aren’t at home, they’re spending the summers in their home in Maine or heading on vacations around the globe (as it is safe to do so). Their home is full of big ideas, laughter, and creativity, and they are excited to find a nanny/family assistant who can support their son’s growth and be a true partner to the inner runnings of their home.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is excited about getting creative when it comes to educationally-minded activities! A nanny/family assistant who is energetic and excited to keep up with a bright, inquisitive, explorative toddler will be key. The family will be excited to work with a candidate who enjoys adding an educational bend to the day and can support his “life school” activities. These dual-career parents have busy schedules and are passionate about their work, and are seeking a true partner in their nanny/family assistant; a candidate with excellent communication skills who enjoys wearing multiple hats and has a desire to grow and build in their role and career will fit in seamlessly! Family assisting tasks may include assisting with calendar organization, light pet care for their two sweet westies, general tidying, and more. They are eager to provide support in return to ensure plenty of work life balance, including a part-time nanny who has been with the family for over 4 years and is happy to jump in as needed. A candidate who would be excited to spend summers in beautiful Maine or to join the family on week-long trips will be appreciated! The family is eager to find a candidate with an all-hands-on-deck spirit, who considers themselves a career nanny/family assistant, and who would be excited to partner with them for years to come.
