These dual-career parents have put together a hard working team in their home and care deeply for their staff. They have fostered a collaborative environment in which each team member (including a house manager, housekeeper, chief of staff, and executive and personal assistant) communicates seamlessly with one another to ensure the many moving pieces of their home are running smoothly and the family is supported. Their two children, aged 13 and 11 years old, partake in various extracurricular activities, love to play video games or head outside for adventures and activities, and currently attend school in-person full-time. During school breaks, the family loves spending time at their home in Hawaii and the candidate can expect to shift into a family assistant-focused role during these weeks. They are eager to welcome a nanny/family assistant who can join their well-oiled machine of a team, including a long-term Adventure Nannies colleague, for years to come!
This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a team environment, who can both take initiative and follow the family/staff’s lead, and who brings an encouraging and calming atmosphere to the children’s routine. A candidate who is passionate about joining a family and supporting their lovingly-curated systems and parental philosophies will be deeply valued, along with an excellent balance between personable and professional. Top notch communication skills (responding to emails in a timely manner and maintaining open channels of communication with staff) will be important, along with a high level of detail and organization. Experience working with fully staffed homes is a big plus! Various family assisting tasks include managing the children’s calendars, organization projects, prepping lunches and snacks, errands and shopping, vendor management, supporting the rest of the team (everyone works together in this home!) and more. The family is eager to welcome a candidate to this role long-term, who can be a positive role model for their children and would be excited to grow into their family assisting/household management support tasks.
