This first-time parent by choice has basked in the journey of parenthood and getting to know his son who was born by surrogate. After working with an Adventure Nannies newborn care specialist over the past year, his son is a great sleeper and on a wonderful daily eating routine, not to mention smiley, playful, and energetic! He enjoys heading to the park for playdates and listening to music, and is swiftly on his way to bilingualism as their NCS speaks solely to his son in Spanish. His father is excited to be a hands-on parent as he works from home often, and both dad and son eat a plant-based diet. The family values the Montessori philosophy and implementing progressive developmental approaches as his son grows. He is eager to welcome a proactive, collaborative, and growth-minded nanny to be an integral part of his 1-year-old’s growth!
This position is ideal for a candidate who brings a joyful, proactive, and developmentally-minded energy to the role each day. A candidate who is eager to engage in play-based learning both at home and in neighboring parks will be key, and alignment or interest in the Montessori and/or RIE philosophies would be a big plus. Dad hopes for a candidate with a collaborative spirit and openness to both lead and be lead, to partner with him in order to create a loving, supported, and thriving home environment. This may include suggesting supplies, monitoring child-related item inventory, identifying opportunities and needs as the child grows (e.g. ordering new clothes or other developmentally-appropriate items), and supporting a plant-based diet as his son continues his discovery of food and begins to eat solids. Spanish fluency and/or formal training in child development is a huge bonus as well!
