A professional family based in Putney, London, SW15 with three beautiful children, are looking for a new long-term nanny. You must hold a full driving licence to apply for this role.
The family live in a beautiful six-bedroom property in Putney. Mum has had a year off work to have her third child and will be going back to work part-time next month. They have 3 lovely children, a 4-year-old, 3-year-old and a 10-month-old baby. You will be focused on the baby and will then help out with the older two in the afternoons. You will have sole charge of the baby during the day and then shared care of all three after school as mum will be home. You will very rarely have sole charge of all three. The children go to nursery and school during the day. They have a housekeeper who comes to the property twice a week to do the deep cleaning. The mother is Spanish and the father is British, and they bring up their children in a bi-lingual household. If you speak Spanish this is a bonus but not essential. The parents work long hours, and their current nanny isn't able to give them the hours and support they need anymore, so they are now looking for a long-term nanny to become a valued member of the family. They have no pets but are possibly going to get a cat soon.
The parents are hands-on and like to get involved whenever they can, but due to the fact they both work have limited time during the day.
All childcare duties and proxy parenting including working with the parents to establish healthy routines and rules, doing the nursery drop off and pick up, finding activities and taking children to those activities including swimming, music and sport, organising and attending playdates, planning meals, ordering groceries and cooking for the children, doing laundry for the children, playing, walking, entertaining and reading to the children, bath time and (when the parents have to work late) bedtime, taking the children to medical and dental appointments and taking care of them when unwell.
The parents want the primary focus on the children and want to ensure that they are happy, healthy and loved. Also keeping all areas of the house the children use tidy and cleaning up after them before the end of each day. You should be willing to lend a hand with the house - you won't be expected to do deep cleaning, but if for example the parents come home early from work and want to put the children to bed, you could help tidy up the kitchen or make the evening meal.
You should be comfortable with both sole charge of the baby and shared charge of all three as the mother will be at home in the afternoons. You should be flexible and just willing to lend an extra pair of hands whenever needed. You should be confident around babies, and also passionate about children's development and learning.
Typically when the family go on holiday you'll stay at home to look after the house, but on rare occasions, you may be asked to travel with them.
This is a live in or live out role, and the family will provide a beautiful room in the top floor of the house if you choose to live in. With it's own ensuite and living area. The family home is in Putney, SW15
Mondays to Friday 8am - 8pm.
You should speak a good level of English.
You must have a full driving licence to drive a manual car. You should be flexible and be willing to get fully involved in family life.
ASAP - the family will be respecting the government guidelines on COVID-19 to safely recruit their new long-term nanny.
