A busy family of 5 based near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL5 are looking for a new Housekeeper to join their family home. This is either a part time or full time job depending on your preference You must have your own car to commute to the property.
A busy family of five, their children are 13, 11 and 8. They live in a stunning countryside property of 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and love the countryside life! They have lots of animals – from horses, birds, chickens and three much-loved dogs. They have a great attitude and life but need an extra pair of hands to help with family life!
You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard, with good attention to detail. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and all areas of the house including organising the house and picking up and organizing cupboards.
You should have a pro-active, positive attitude, with an ability to get stuck in to busy family life and enjoy mucking in with the family and daily running of the house. You should be happy to run errands, arrange the online shopping order, let contractors in, occasional school runs and typically think on your feet. The family are warm and friendly.
If you are happy to cook this is a bonus but not required. You should be happy to help with the children in terms of occasional babysitting if required.
You can work part time for this family, but if you decide you want a full time role, then you would also work at the neighbours properties as a job share. They also live on a farm with horses and dogs, and you’ll split the hours between the two properties.
You should be professional, polite and easy-going with a commitment to a long-term role with the family.
This is a live-out role so you should be within an easily commutable distance between Cheltenham and Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL54
You must speak a good level of English in order to communicate with the family.
You should also be confident in housekeeping and very comfortable in country life – around pets etc.
