This loving, bustling family describes themselves as warm and trusting, always striving to create a mutually-enriching childcare environment in their home for parents, children, and caregivers alike! They love living in DC and enjoying all the activities and sites it has to offer as it is safe to do so, as the family is very COVID-conscious. Their two oldest boys attend a hybrid in-person/virtual Montessori school schedule that is immersive in Spanish. Their 7-year-old is an avid reader and loves to play sports, while his 5-year-old brother loves science and art. Their youngest sister is just beginning to express her personality and is enjoying playing in their Montessori-themed playroom! These dual-career parents work very busy schedules outside of the home and wholly rely on their nanny to provide reliable, enriching childcare for their children. They deeply value having an open line of communication and collaboration with their caregiver.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is eager to jump in with both feet, is confident providing care for 3 young children, and thrives in a role where autonomy and proactivity is valued! When their eldest children return to school full-time, daytime care will focus on their youngest daughter before supporting all three children in fun afternoon activities, with one weekday spent partnering with mom to divide and conquer. A nanny who can bring a playful, warm, supportive energy to this bustling home and make a difference being an extra set of hands will thrive in this role. The family is excited to work with a nanny who can both provide enriching activities and outings, assist with transportation to/from school (noting that their school is within walking distance!), assist with meal prep for the children, and be a collaborative, team player.
