PRIVATE VILLA ESTATE MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced Estate Manager for a private, exclusive residence on Lake Como. 

The family visits infrequently — roughly once every two to three months, typically for a few days at a time. In between visits, the villa runs under the full responsibility of the Estate Manager, and it must be in perfect condition for every arrival.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will manage a small, established team

You will also coordinate with local contractors, tradespeople, and suppliers 

Your role is to keep the estate running seamlessly. To know what needs attention now and what can wait. To think ahead: the owner arrives in two days — the balcony needs to be spotless, not just the lawn trimmed. To follow the owner's specific requests precisely and on time.

When the family is in residence, you are fully on — table setting, wine service, guest hospitality. Occasional airport transfers in the family's vehicle

You will also oversee the final stages of ongoing renovation works and manage the contractors involved.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 Woman, 40–55 years old (an exceptional male candidate will also be considered)

Experience as an Estate or House Manager in a private home for a single permanent family — this is essential — Italian language — for communication with local tradespeople and contractors — English language — for communication with the family and their representative — The ability to lead a team with authority and respect, not fear — Attention to detail, strong initiative, and a systematic approach to running a household — Flexibility to work without fixed days off when the family is on the property — Nationality: Russia, Moldova, Baltic states, Europe

An advantage: Russian language, ability to drive a motorboat, table service and hospitality skills, practical hands-on technical skills.

This is not a hotel role and not a rental villa. There is one owner who knows every corner of his home. If you are used to the mindset of guests arriving and leaving, this position is not for you. If you understand what it means to manage a perfectionist's personal home — we would very much like to meet you.

TERMS

Salary: €4,000 – €7,000 per month, depending on experience

Accommodation: not provided — the candidate arranges their own housing near the property. Schedule when family is away: flexible, approximately 5 days on / 2 days off

Results matter more than hours

Schedule when family is in residence: fully on call, no fixed days off during visits

Contract: official employment / self-employed / cash — to be discussed individually

Probation period: approximately 3 months

Start date: as soon as possible
