Highgate (N6) Experienced Toddler Nanny / Housekeeper (50:50) needed for single mum. The role combines childcare and household support. 38 or 40 hrs weekly can be offered over four or five days. ASAP Start. Based on 40 hours a week Up to £41,600 (£20 gross hourly).

A warm and welcoming working single mum based in Highgate, is looking for a reliable, loving and proactive nanny–housekeeper to support her and care for her 2.5-year-old son.

The role combines childcare and household support. From March, the little boy will attend nursery for at least half days (Mon–Thu), allowing time for household duties during nursery hours.

Start Date: ASAP

Days and Hours: Four days a week – 38 (or 40 hrs weekly can be offered). Someone with some level of flexibility would be really appreciated.

Monday or Tuesday: 7.30-18.30. 

The other day (either Monday or Tuesday): 8.00-17.30 

Wed: 8.30-17.30 

Thursday: 9.00-17.30 (Half day Thurs & Fri can also be offered if preferred). 

Gross annual Salary; Based on 40 hours a week Up to £41,600 (£20 gross hourly) depending on your experience and qualifications.

Duties will include; 

  • Nursery drop-off and pick-up (15 minutes walking distance)
  • Ensuring the child’s safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Keeping him active, stimulated and engaged through creative and age-appropriate play
  • Preparing and feeding homemade, nutritious meals outside nursery hours
  • Caring for him when he is unwell and unable to attend nursery
  • Supporting developmental milestones (potty training experience is a plus)
  • Communicating clearly and regularly with mum regarding all aspects of care

Household responsibilities whilst child is at nursery; 

  • Grocery shopping
  • Cooking well-balanced and nutritious meals
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Washing dishes
  • Tidying and organising
  • Light cleaning
  • General household duties

Experience using a Thermomix (or willingness to learn) is a plus.

  • Clean, hygienic and well-presented
  • Tidy and highly organised
  • Loving, nurturing and genuinely passionate about childcare
  • Dependable and sincere
  • Proactive with good initiative
  • Observant and attentive to the child’s needs
  • Someone who lives locally would be a preference 

The perfect candidate will have a valid enhanced DBS certificate, Paediatric First Aid and proving experience with toddlers as well as housekeeping in private homes, plus you will need to have excellent checkable references.
