Alexandra Palace (N22) Permanent Nanny for two lovely boys aged 5 years and 2.5 years; Part-time during term time and full-time during the school holidays (an average of 32 hours per week) – April start – Up to £34,860 gross annually. Driver preferable.

A warm and welcoming family based in N22, close to Alexandra Palace station, are looking for a kind, organised, proactive and experienced permanent Nanny to care for their two lovely boys aged 5 years and 2.5 years. This is a part-time role during term time and full-time during the school holidays (An average of 32 hours per week)

This is a lovely opportunity for a nanny who is looking to become a valued part of a caring family and support two delightful boys through their important early years. A driver with their own car would be a bonus, though this is not essential. parking can be arranged. Mum and dad work from home 1 or 2 days a week – this role is sole charge. 

Start date: 6th April (the family are happy to discuss some flexibility on the start date depending on individual circumstances).

Days and Hours; During term time (38 weeks a year) 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 1pm–6pm. Throughout the school holidays (14 weeks a year) 45 hrs weekly, the role will become full-time, 8.30am–5.30pm, offering a wonderful balance across the year. 

Salary; Salary: £31,540 – £34,860 gross per annum, depending on experience (£19-£21 gross hourly). 

The role will include school and nursery pick-ups for both children, accompanying them to any scheduled afternoon clubs or playdates, and supporting them with engaging, age-appropriate activities at home. You’ll be confident helping with homework, encouraging early literacy through reading, and creating fun, interactive play and learning opportunities. Outdoor outings, including trips to the park, will form an important part of the day, along with maintaining consistent routines that support the children’s development, wellbeing and structure.

You’ll be happy to help with washing and general house related tasks prior to the children’s pick ups, take responsibility for shopping and preparing nutritious dinners for the children, keeping children’s areas tidy and ensuring communal areas are left clean and organised after mealtimes. Help with bath time may occasionally be required. The family would also welcome flexibility for additional babysitting hours, if desired.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, reliable and naturally energetic, with a genuine love for supporting children’s development. You’ll have a good understanding of child development across the early years and Key Stage 1, and feel confident managing two children of different ages. You will be organised, calm and capable of ensuring the children’s safety, happiness and continued growth.

You will need to have at least 3+ years’ professional experience in nannying or nursery care. You will be a non-smoker, hold a current enhanced DBS certificate, be paediatric first aid trained, and have excellent, checkable references from previous employers.
